Kids yoga classes are fun, interactive and engaging. What we learn on the mat transfers into everyday life. 

Young children will learn through play, movement and storytelling. Yoga poses are taught in an age appropriate way and further developed as children gain confidence and understanding. Classes stimulate imagination and creativity, which helps to develop self awareness through creative expression and builds confidence.

There is an emphasis on team work which promotes positive relationships and helpful cooperative behaviour. All children get an opportunity to shine. It is not about perfecting a particular yoga pose or being “good” at yoga. It is non-competitive, we learn to move in a way that respects our body and develop at our own pace. We learn that we are all different and to accept ourselves just the way we are. 

In the yoga class we learn how to better manage emotions through breathing and stress reduction techniques. This can lead to improved sleep, lower levels of stress, anxiety and hyperactivity. It has also been shown to sharpen concentration and focus leading to better memory retention.
